Colfe's CCF had its annual parade and biennial inspection on Saturday 4th July. The inspection was carried out by Wing Commander Chalklin. The boys and girls were also given the opportunity to fly in a Lynx from 671 Sqn Air Corps crewed by Old Colfeian Captain Jay Cherry brother of Colfe's CCF commander Major Chris Cherry. The event was superbly organised and the cadets were awarded certificates for achievement in a wide range of skills ranging from shooting, to first aid, to Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards. The day was a celebration of the fabulous achievements of the whole of the CCF from the most junior raw recruit to the most senior NCO and Officer. Daniel Hepden of 8A won the prize for the best new recruit.
