Welcome to Colfe's
Colfe’s is a co-educational independent day school in the suburbs of South-East London. It has
a long and distinguished history but it is, above all, a modern school for a modern age, preparing
boys and girls of all ages for a future of change and challenge.
Last year’s A level results hit a record high with 78% A/B grades and 2008 has brought news of
Oxbridge success, with places offered to read Natural Sciences, Physiological Sciences and Modern
Languages. This follows the fantastic success of Old Colfeian Classicist, Ben Gray, who won a
coveted academic fellowship at All Souls’ College in Oxford last year.
Recent inspection reports on both the
Senior
and
Preparatory
sections of the school make it clear that the school is in good heart. I am delighted that the
teams recognized so much that is good about Colfe's and look forward to building further upon our
strengths in the years ahead.
Richard Russell, Headmaster
